Dr. Thais Uebelhor | Life Strategist and International Mentor in Miami Beach

Dr. Thais Uebelhor

For many years, Dr. Thais Uebelhor’s academic and clinical formation unfolded within a psychological tradition devoted to reducing human suffering. She was trained to listen closely to distress, to identify what was not working, and to help restore balance. This rigorous foundation taught her how to ease pain and improve functioning. Yet alongside this work, a quieter question began to emerge. Is the reduction of suffering enough? Over time, she noticed that beneath relief lived a deeper human yearning not only to recover, but to flourish, to feel alive, and to experience meaning and engagement.

She encountered this question not only in those she worked with, but also within herself. Gradually, it reshaped her professional direction and opened the way toward a broader understanding of well being and human potential. What became clear to her was that many individuals were not seeking treatment for pathology, but guidance for living. They were looking for clarity, direction, and strategies to build a life aligned with their values and potential. This insight led her to launch her mentoring practice, fully dedicating herself to guiding individuals in creating personalized life strategies that foster clarity, purpose, resilience, and fulfillment.

Dr. Uebelhor holds a Doctoral degree and a Master’s degree from the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology at the Federal University of São Paulo, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. She completed a specialization in Neuropsychology at the Neuropsychology Diagnostic Center. Her formation was further enriched through training in the United States at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Philadelphia and at the Neuroscience Center of Indianapolis, where she was trained in computer assisted cognitive rehabilitation.

Her academic career includes research at the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Clinical Neurosciences at the Federal University of São Paulo, with work published in respected peer reviewed scientific journals. She has authored chapters in multiple books, served as an expert reviewer for international scientific publications, and presented her research to both scientific and public audiences.

As a professor of Neuropsychology and Psychiatry at the Neuropsychology Diagnostic Center, Dr. Uebelhor played a key role in implementing the neuropsychology and psychiatry curriculum and contributed significantly to the training of future professionals. Her specialization monograph was shared as an ebook and served as a core didactic reference for students in the field.

Throughout her career in Brazil, her work consistently focused on enhancing long term well being, improving daily functioning, and supporting mental health. She has educated thousands through television programs, radio shows, podcasts, and public events. She was also one of the founders of Grupo Educuor, an initiative dedicated to supporting parents in raising psychologically healthy individuals through conscious education.

These experiences naturally led Dr. Uebelhor to shift her focus entirely to mentoring and life strategy work, now based in Florida, United States. Drawing on her deep understanding of human behavior, cognition, and emotional development, she now guides individuals to intentionally design lives aligned with their values and full potential.

This evolution is further enriched by her engagement with Positive Psychology as a scientifically grounded framework for flourishing. She completed the Positive Psychology online course offered by Harvard Health Publishing in partnership with Harvard Medical School and is an active member of the Positive Psychology Practitioner community at the School of Positive Transformation, where she participates in a global movement devoted to human flourishing.

Her integrative approach is also reflected in her role as an international mentor and co facilitator of The Seven Wheels Within Practices for Mindful Unwinding at The PEMS Collaborative. Through this work, she guides participants in cultivating awareness, resilience, and inner balance through mindful and evidence based practices.

For Dr. Uebelhor, mentoring and life strategy building represent the natural continuation of her professional journey. Her work bridges scientific rigor with practical insight and expertise and is today entirely focused on supporting individuals in consciously shaping lives of meaning, coherence, and sustained well being, moving beyond her clinical roots as an International Mentor toward growth, fulfillment, and purposeful living.
