Dr. Thais Rabanea de Souza has an extensive academic background, holding a Doctoral degree from the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology of the Federal University of Sao Paulo (UNIFESP) and a Master Degree from the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology of the Federal University of Sao Paulo (UNIFESP). Specialization in Neuropsychology by the Neuropsychology Diagnostic Center (CDN in Portuguese) and Bachelor ́s degree in Psychology from Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo.
Dr. Thais Rabanea de Souza has attended two renowned American institutes in the past, being trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy with the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Philadelphia and in computer-assisted cognitive rehabilitation with the Neuroscience Center of Indianapolis.
Dr. Thais Rabanea de Souza was a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Clinical Neurosciences of UNIFESP. Her research work has been published in esteemed professional, peer-reviewed scientific journals. She has authored chapters in various books, and has presented her results to the scientific community, as well as to the community in several events and media appearances.
Dr. Thais Rabanea de Souza was Professor of Neuropsychology and Psychiatry at the Specialization Course in Neuropsychology at Neuropsychology Diagnostic Center (CDN in Portuguese). She was responsible for implementing the neuropsychology and psychiatry module in 2012, and contributed, in an exceptional way, in the training of students in the Specialization Course in Neuropsychology at this institution. Her book “Mind, Brain and Neuropsychology”, resulting from her monograph at the conclusion of this Specialization course in Neuropsychology, has been constantly suggested as a didactic reference for all classes in the course with the aim of significantly deepening the student’s knowledge.
Her role as a psychologist in Brazil had always aimed at increasing the patients’ well-being to establish long-term wellness, improving, and increasing daily performance. During all these years, she has educated thousands of people across Brazil thanks to the many invites to participate in television shows, radio shows and podcasts.
Dr. Thais Rabanea de Souza was one of the founders of Grupo Educuor, which aimed to help parents educate with awareness and form psychologically healthy individuals.
Dr. Rabanea-Souza submitted articles to Scientific Journals and have been an expert reviewer in peer reviewed international journals. She is an expert author and reviewer for international scientific journals. Her work has been published in esteemed professional, peer-reviewed publications such as Schizophrenia Research: Cognition and Trial Journal.
She authored chapters in various books, such as “Schizophrenia – Advances in Multidisciplinary Treatment”, “Depression – Theory and Clinical Collection”, “Neuromyth Hunters: Is What You Know About Your Brain True?” and “The Use of Ketamine in the Treatment of Psychiatric Disorders and Chronic Pain”.
