Dr. Thais Uebelhor | Life Strategist and International Mentor in Miami Beach

Meet Dr. Thais Uebelhor

International Mentor | Positive Psychology Practitioner | Doctor of Science, PhD

Dr. Thais Uebelhor, formerly known as Dra. Thaís Rabanéa in her clinical and professional career in Brazil, is an international mentor whose work brings together scientific knowledge, academic research, clinical experience, teaching, and public education. Her academic publications appear under her former name, Thais Rabanea-Souza.

With a doctoral background, contributions to peer-reviewed scientific journals and books, and years of experience communicating scientific and mental health knowledge to broad audiences through television, radio, podcasts, interviews, and public events, she has dedicated her career to understanding the complex ways cognition, emotional patterns, behavior, and life circumstances shape human experience and well-being.

Her professional journey began in Brazil, where she built a rigorous academic and clinical foundation through advanced training, research, teaching, professional practice, and public education. Today, based in the United States, she brings that depth of experience into a new chapter focused entirely on life strategy, personal development, and the intentional creation of a meaningful and fulfilling life.

As the Founder of TRS Life Strategist & Mentoring, LLC, Dr. Uebelhor works privately with individuals seeking greater clarity, purpose, resilience, meaningful relationships, emotional intelligence, and fulfillment.

Her approach sits at the intersection of scientific insight and practical life strategy. She translates research findings and professional experience into personalized strategies for navigating life’s most important questions.

Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all formula, her work begins with the individual: their values, strengths, circumstances, aspirations, relationships, and vision for the life they want to create.

Dr. Uebelhor is a Certified Positive Psychology Practitioner and a Member of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA), reflecting her continued engagement with the scientific study of well-being, strengths, meaning, and human potential.

Academic & Clinical Foundations in Brazil

Before establishing her mentoring practice in the United States, Dr. Uebelhor developed an extensive academic and professional career in Brazil.

She earned her Doctoral degree from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), one of Brazil’s leading research universities. Her doctoral training was completed within the university’s Graduate Program in Psychiatry and Medical Psychology, providing a rigorous foundation in scientific research and the study of human behavior, cognition, and well-being.

She also holds a Master’s degree in Psychiatry and Medical Psychology from UNIFESP and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). In addition, she completed a specialization in Neuropsychology, further deepening her understanding of cognition, behavior, and human functioning.

Her academic formation was complemented by advanced professional training in the United States, including at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy in Philadelphia and the Neuroscience Center of Indianapolis, where she trained in computer-assisted cognitive rehabilitation.

Together, these experiences established the scientific and professional foundation from which her work would continue to evolve, ultimately bringing her expertise in cognition, behavior, emotional processes, and human potential into her current work in life strategy and mentoring.

Research & Scientific Contributions

Dr. Uebelhor’s academic career included research at the Laboratory of Interdisciplinary Clinical Neurosciences (LiNC), Department of Psychiatry, Federal University of São Paulo, where she investigated cognition, neuropsychological functioning, and psychiatric conditions.

Her research explored the complex relationship between cognitive processes and mental health. This work included research examining executive functioning in schizophrenia and the investigation of neuromodulation approaches for cognitive symptoms in the early stages of psychosis.

Her research was published in peer-reviewed international scientific journals, including:

Neuropsychological correlates of remission in chronic schizophrenia subjects: The role of general and task-specific executive processes — published in Schizophrenia Research: Cognition.

Evaluation of the efficacy of transcranial direct current stimulation in the treatment of cognitive symptomatology in the early stages of psychosis — published in Trials.

While these studies were conducted within a clinical and scientific context, the perspective they cultivated continues to inform her work today: human behavior is complex, individual differences matter, and meaningful change requires more than generic advice.

Her research training taught her to look beyond surface behaviors and consider the interaction between cognition, emotional responses, behavior, individual characteristics, and environment.

That perspective remains central to her approach today.

Rather than applying predetermined formulas, Dr. Uebelhor considers the individual as a whole, translating scientific knowledge and professional experience into strategies that are relevant to each person’s circumstances, values, strengths, relationships, aspirations, and goals.

Her work has therefore evolved from studying the factors that influence human functioning to helping individuals intentionally shape the conditions for greater well-being, meaning, and fulfillment.

Beyond research, Dr. Uebelhor has authored chapters in books, served as an expert reviewer for international scientific publications, and presented her work to both scientific and public audiences.

Teaching & Professional Education

Dr. Uebelhor also served as a professor of Neuropsychology and Psychiatry, contributing to the development of educational programs and the training of future professionals.

Her specialization work was published as an e-book and used as a didactic reference for students in the field.

Throughout her academic and professional career, her work remained centered on a fundamental question:

How can a deeper understanding of the human mind and behavior contribute to a healthier, more meaningful life?

Public Education & Scientific Communication

Alongside her academic and clinical work, Dr. Uebelhor has been committed to making scientific knowledge accessible beyond academic settings.

Throughout her career in Brazil, she participated in television programs, radio shows, podcasts, interviews, and public events, communicating topics related to mental health, human behavior, cognition, and well-being to broad audiences.

This experience strengthened her ability to bridge scientific rigor and real-life application: not simply understanding research, but translating knowledge into insights that people can understand and apply to their everyday lives.

She was also one of the founders of Grupo Educuor, an initiative dedicated to supporting parents in raising psychologically healthy individuals through conscious education.

A New Chapter in the United States

Founder, TRS Life Strategist & Mentoring, LLC

Over the course of her professional journey, Dr. Uebelhor’s perspective expanded.

Her years of academic and clinical experience gave her a deep understanding of suffering, psychological patterns, cognition, behavior, and human resilience. Yet she increasingly became interested in another dimension of the human experience: not simply overcoming what is difficult, but intentionally creating what is meaningful.

This evolution led her toward Positive Psychology and a broader exploration of happiness, strengths, purpose, relationships, resilience, and human potential.

Today, through TRS Life Strategist & Mentoring, LLC, she dedicates her work entirely to mentoring and life strategy.

Her role is no longer centered on treating pathology. Instead, she works with individuals who are looking for clarity, direction, perspective, and personalized strategies for creating a life that feels deeply aligned with who they are and what matters most to them.

Her private advisory approach combines scientific knowledge with individualized guidance, helping clients translate insight into meaningful action.

For Dr. Uebelhor, this is not a departure from her previous career. It is its natural evolution.

The rigor of her academic training, the perspective gained through years of professional practice, her research experience, and her continued study of Positive Psychology now converge in a different kind of work: helping people consciously shape the next chapter of their lives.

The Work Today

Today, Dr. Uebelhor offers a refined, highly personalized mentoring experience for individuals who want to live with greater clarity, purpose, connection, resilience, and fulfillment.

Her work is particularly suited to individuals navigating meaningful transitions, questioning what comes next, or recognizing that professional or personal success alone does not necessarily create a deeply fulfilling life.

Her mentoring process begins with understanding where you are, where you want to go, and what may be standing between the two.

From there, together you develop a personalized strategy for moving forward, grounded in your individual circumstances, values, strengths, aspirations, and vision for the future.

The focus may be a life transition, a search for greater purpose, relationships, emotional intelligence, personal growth, resilience, or simply the desire to live more intentionally.

There is no predetermined formula.

Science provides the foundation. Experience provides perspective. Your life provides the context.

And the strategy is tailored to you.

From understanding the mind to understanding what makes life worth living.
